DESCRIPTION

Children in our Grades 1-5 training program will be introduced to our core curriculum and will train at our 10 Elite Training Complex which consists of six permanent scaled courts designed specifically for young children. These classes are available to children in all schools.

The goals and objectives for this program include:

  • introduce the fundamentals of hitting a forehand, backhand, serve, and volley
  • begin to “play” tennis
  • learn the scoring system of tennis
  • improve overall athleticism
  • develop the requisite skill set needed to attend our 10 and Under Elite Training Program

PICK-UP


Please pick up your child promptly at the end of his/her scheduled class.

WEATHER


If you have any questions regarding the weather, please call Losaline Mafileo at (650) 814-5416. Losaline’s outgoing message will inform you if a class has been cancelled due to inclement weather.

RAIN-OUTS & CLASS MAKE-UP POLICY

We will do our best to offer make-up class opportunities for any classes that are rained out during the 2022-23 fall program.  All make-up classes must be taken during the 2022-23 fall program.

SACRED HEART SCHOOLS, ATHERTON STUDENTS ONLY

To ensure the safety of all participants, especially in the event of unforeseen changes to school dismissal times, tennis starting times or tennis class cancellations, all Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton students in Preschool through Grade 3 enrolled in Dexterity Tennis must also be simultaneously enrolled in the Champions Afterschool Care Program. Sacred Heart Schools, Atherton students in grades 4 and higher will be dismissed to the Stevens Library in the event of an unforeseen schedule change or cancellation.

Class make-up Policy for Preschool through Grade 5:

Children in Preschool through Grade 5 who miss their weekday class, either due to rainout or other unforeseen reasons, may have the opportunity to attend a Saturday 9 am class. However, while we will do our best to provide this option, it is not guaranteed, as space is limited. Please email Jeff Arons at jeffarons@dexteritytennis.com to check on the availability of a Saturday 9 am make-up class. There are no make-up opportunities available on weekdays. All Fall make-up classes must be taken during the 2022-23 Fall program.

The Sacred Heart Schools Tennis Complex is a uniquely designed facility that supports our goal of running efficient and effective programming for students of all ages and skill levels. The Sacred Heart Tennis Complex is home to our 10 & Under Elite Training Complex which consists of six permanent scaled courts designed specifically to train young children. In addition to our 10 & Under Elite Training Complex, the Sacred Heart Schools tennis complex has 7 standard tennis courts. Each of the standard courts has a scaled 60’ court juxtaposed on its playing surface. Our facility design allows us to create quality training programs for all of our students!
